this is a list of everything i consume in my capitalistic(/j) rage. this
is a (fbi) watchlist, play-list (not a playlist ig i have a bunch on my
spotify), a reading list, a touchlist, smell-list, etc. look at all the
weird shit i like! i like anime & cheesy romcoms, hip-hop,
spiderman-adjacent shit, punk-adjecent shit, and whatever comes from
allat that i randomly find.

-
saiki k. - i love this man. prolly one of my fav animes of all
time, shit was funny asl and the writing felt very human despite this
guy being a fuckin FREAK. (10/10)
-
ouran hshc - i rly like bunny senpai just bc i think hes silly
& cuteness overload but i saw ppl online call him boy lolita & one of
my homies said i liked little boys so yea nevermind dawg ill just say
i like haruhi (9/10)
-
community (dropped) - 6 seasons and a movie! i dropped it when
troy left tho. (8/10)
-
bojack horseman - finished it a year or 2 ago ik i cried.
(9/10)
-
the good place - really quirky and silly, and yk what i kinda
liked that. its a really witty & intriguing show for smt that prolly
has a target demographic that isnt me lol (8/10)
-
wednesday - ill be honest it had me hooked. jenna ortega please
take my hand in marria- i mean to be honest the show did kinda handle
the social issues it was implying pretty weirdly. i cant speak too
well on it but one of my faves on yt
Tirrrb can
(7/10)
-
death note - wow. this had me hooked for all 40-something
episodes and i loved it! the intros are so hard istg. i love metal.
the pacing & the problem solving was so awesome to watch i was
obessed. can get corny but honestly that was more just funny to me im
ngl (9/10)
-
neon genesis evangelion - haha yea the funny incel "get in the
robot shinji!" show. yes i do care its really funny. this show was
honestly heartwrenching, even as a christian this one touched me. just
the art and the concepts alone to me were mesmerizing, loved it all
the way through. no i will not comment on how i feel abt misato.
(10/10)
-
hi score girl - cuteness overload!!!!!! i loved this show sm,
the portrayal of the fighter community made a lot of sense as someone
who's waist-deep into it. the animation was so awesome, & ono felt
very human despite being mute. (8/10)
-
heartstopper - ughhh this show is so cute. i never read the
comments, but honestly the doodles everywhere and the
awkwardness-filled chemistry between nick & charlie makes me go
craaazy. i wish the representation felt ever so slightly less forced
in s2, but honestly i think it felt natural anyway. also comment nick
est devenu grenouille au hasard... je n'ai pas entendu "bonne sain
jean" meme une fois. (7/10)
-
umbrella academy - idk man i dropped in s3. all i remember is
thinking "damn squirrel academy mfs rly some bootlickers huh?" based
on a poster at the literal first appearance of them (went from like
8/10 to 5/10 from s1 to s3)
movies - to watch
- king of staten island
- kill bill
- pulp fiction
- napoleon dynamite
- twilight (thanks mom)
- 500 days of summer
- heathers
- perks of being a wallflower
- good will hunting
- legally blonde
- rewatch clueless
movies - watched
-
entergalactic - honestly it felt a little awkward in story
flow, but maybe thats the point, with a main character like jabari
seeming lost at sea, or his apartment in nyc. the aesthetics are so
awesome, and kid cudi's creative direction really florishes in a sk8r
boi way lmao... (7/10)
-
the truman show - beautiful. shit id be panicking too if i was
in that scenario. jim carrey plays the role beautifully and the story
ended up being pretty insightful & heartwarming at the same time. this
movie has been my fav for a WHILE nothing has rly topped it for a bit,
even tho ion rly come back to it tm (10/10)
-
spider-verse trilogy - I LOVE HOBIE AHHHHHHHHH!!! hes just
kinda ambiguously punk in his values, and like the comedy he gets used
in really works i love it sm. ik this is targeted and super capitalist
but idc guys lemme enjoy corporate activism like... but yea miles'
story rly touched me, and this movie is pretty close. that cliffhanger
at the end AHHHH omg i was so hyped in the movie theatre when it
ended. (9/10)
-
american psycho - yea yea, the funny sigma male idolizing
horrible actions "it was all in le head" trope. fuck man idc!!! funny
white man is plagued with homocidal urges and only thrives in his
environment because he benefits massively from the part of capitalism
that really likes white people. my friend said the book does this way
better but like he also game-ends a dog in the book so fuck that
man... /: (6/10)
-
not another teen movie - watched this (i think?) bc i knew
there was a system of a down song in the soundtrack. i feel abt the
movie like the title, but it was really just unique enough and felt so
y2k that i actually really liked it (7/10)
-
do revenge - woah! watched this because of a
moderngurlz
video. id say it was worth it! pretty engaging, and pretty spooky too.
like how the movie didnt have a set good or bad guy at a certain
point. like i kinda just had to see them as individual characters with
flaws, and seeing the aftermath of the big rampage was pretty, uhh...
im ngl ion remember its been a lil while. (7/10)
-
youve got mail - nostalgia! got recommended form a
nakeyjakey
video. this was just really cute really, and honestly the main
characters passion for books was so real! ion have much to say because
is really your typical cheesy rom-com, but honestly this one was
actually unique enough in its theme to be pretty engaging. (8/10)
-
princess mononoke is my favourite ghibli film. its beautiful,
it has a beautiful message about protecting our environment, human
intervention, and our real place in the world as we interact with
nature. its long but engaging enough to leave you a new person at the
end. i couldnt meatride this one any more. (10/10)
-
ghibli movies - spirited away 10/10, my neighbour totoro 10/10,
ponyo tbw, from up on poppy hill 9/10, howls moving castle 10/10,
nausicaa 9/10
-
all the bright places - man this one really bothered me. when
you literally have to read online about lore on the book just to
understand the movie of the storyline itself, youve made a bad movie
adaptation. theres so many gaps and holes in both the plot and the
characters and it really bothers me. however, the cinematography was
definitely great, like with the rollercoaster & the scenery of that
river. (4/10)
-
fifth element - AHHHHHH THIS WAS SO COOL!!! bruce willis was so
cuteness overload, i loved his energy that he brought to the character
by being mastering the juxtaposition of a deadbeat who has some crazy
achievements. the cinematograpgy was crazy tbh, ruby rose was a rly
funny character, and the sci-fi elements were really cool for a
massive fucking nerd like me.(9/10)
-
juno - came for the lead actors. stayed for the heartwarming
story. i wanna recreate the song at the end w my gf so bad. found this
song after seeing the "so guess what?" clip sm, definitely worth it
tbh. I Love You Michael Cera. (8/10)
